Born in Damascus, Burhan Khatib is a film composer, sound designer, and musicologist. He composes for fiction, documentary, and animated films, as well as for choreography, theater, and contemporary visual arts projects. Alongside his work as a composer, he has performed as both a musician and a dervish dancer at festivals and venues across Europe, Asia, and the Arab world. After studying musicology at Grenoble Alpes University, he completed a master’s degree in Music Applied to Visual Arts (MAAAV) at Lyon Lumière 2 University.
